Trying turning a broken car in a super car a la Ferrari – is, at least, a brave step. However, it is quite possible. Hammer and blow lamp are general instruments of wonder-masters from Bangladesh.

Surely, not all Bangladesh residents make over broken bangers in something magic. But an owner of a small car repair shop can do it. Of course, with several assistants.

Dhaka, where this master’s car repair shop is situated, is one of the most densely populated cities of our planet. Smother and chaos prevail on roads here. There are no any rules. Add here 90% air moisture, when metal becomes encrusted right on your eyes, - and you will understand: everything connected with cars turns into extreme show in Bangladesh. By the way, «Discovery Channel» also thinks this way. They started a special show dedicated to this repairman.

Main heroes

It took them only 3 months to turn old Toyota Celtica 1979 in a new super car. They spent less than 10$ on it!  

A new car has Ferrari look, however, according to its creator, they took only headlights and several emblems from real Ferrari. All the rest, excluding Japanese engine, is made in Bangladesh – literally with one rusty hammer.

Master hopes to make same things for Bangladesh Serdgio Pininfarina did for Ferrari. Great Italian sports cars are a source of inspiration for Bangladesh master. However, he does not copy originals, but treats them with piety.

Another creation he assembled almost from nothing – is a super car F-21. A blow lamp, sharpness and several assistants – that what he needed  to turn another Toyota Celtica remains in a queen of auto show.

Like all other cars of this master, super car F-21 is unique. It resembles same famous Italian brand, but does not copy its design or technical characteristics.

A car’s new design, first of all, assumes increase of speed characteristics due to aerodynamics improvement. 1.8 liter Toyota Townace engine is installed in front part of the car, and mini-spoiler is on the roof. It creates a bear on effect and a driver feels like he is driving a car with engine installed in central part.

Engine is almost the only Japanese detail of his cars, rest are made in Dhaka. It is considered best motor mechanics and racers live here, and you can find almost any detail on local auto markets.

Limousines are another passion of Bangladesh master. He assembled a 22 feet long car from several used cars and provided it with 2.8 l diesel engine. It required him 40 days to assemble this limousine. This is the first one made in Bangladesh.

A car is equipped with bar, satellite antenna and powerful stereo system. Its rough estimate is more than $50 000.

In a country where average salary is 2 dollars per day, such car is just a dream.

TV shows telling how to turn a broken car in a masterpiece are very popular nowadays. «Pimp My Ride» on MTV is, probably, the most popular one. Participation terms: love for music, presence of a wheeled rusty can and inability to transform it into something decent.

By the way, this year Volkswagen started a humorous advertising campaign deriding this project. German engineers crash “super cars” offering a new Volkswagen GTI instead of them.
